Mental health services

Government mental health services are provided through community mental health units, hospitals and community health centres. Community based mental health services are spread throughout the metropolitan area and in country locations. These clinics and centres have professional staff including psychiatrists, social workers, mental health nurses, clinical psychologists and occupational therapists to provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and ongoing support.
